Slow Mornings: Why I Stopped Rushing and Started Living
I realized something: I was always rushing. Wake up, check my phone, grab a quick bite, run to work… and at the end of the day I couldn’t even remember what actually happened. My life felt like fast-forward mode.
Then I heard about slow life. And honestly, it changed me. It’s this simple idea: stop rushing, start living. Enjoy your coffee, feel the sunlight, notice the flowers on your table. Sounds so basic, but it feels like magic.
For me, it started with slow mornings.☕ Instead of jumping out of bed and stressing, I gave myself 10 minutes. Just 10. A candle, a warm drink, maybe fresh flowers on the table. Sometimes I write a few words in my journal, sometimes I just sit. And those 10 minutes make my whole day calmer.
Here’s what I learned:
-
Eat slow: don’t scroll while eating. Even a tiny breakfast feels better when you actually taste it.
-
Create tiny rituals: light a candle, open a window, write one line in your planner. It doesn’t need to be big.
-
Add cozy details: a new autumn mug, seasonal flowers, or even a printable card on your desk can totally change the vibe.
And yes, I also found that digital rituals matter. A new wallpaper on my phone, a page in my journal decorated with stickers, an affirmation card that makes me smile — these little things feel like the digital version of slow mornings. They remind me that life isn’t only about rushing through tasks.
Now, when I wake up, I don’t feel like I need to run. I feel like I can breathe. And I want that feeling for you too. 💛
So maybe tomorrow, give yourself just 5 minutes. Light that candle. Open your journal. Or place a cozy card on your desk. You’ll see — it feels like magic.
